Anti Oxidant Properties

One of the major benefits, health wise, of Olive PP's are their powerful anti-oxidant properties, combating the formation of Free Radicals which are responsible for damage to our organs/vascular system by oxidation. For eg., our vascular system is damaged by the oxidation of lLow Density Lipoproteins (LDL, commonly known as bad cholesterol) and PP's prevent the oxidation of LDL's, thereby reducing the risk of developing , for eg., Coronary Artery Disease (CAD ), however, oxidized LDL's are only one of many risk factors for developing CAD. As well, PP's help to increase High Density Lipoproteins ( HDL- known as good cholesterol ) and so PP's have a positive impact on Lipid metabolism.
